Daybreak
Daybreak is a national British breakfast programme, broadcast weekdays on ITV. It is presented live from The London Studios and contains a mixture of news, sport, weather, and entertainment items. The programme was originally presented by Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles until their departure on 5 December 2011. They were replaced by Kate Garraway and Dan Lobb, who presented the show on an interim basis, however since 2012, Daybreak has been presented by Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones, with Ranvir Singh and Matt Barbet hosting the first hour of the programme. Laura Tobin acts as the weather presenter with Richard Arnold presenting the showbiz slot on the show. Helen Fospero, Louisa James and John Stapleton act as stand-in presenters of the main show.
Breakfast Television
Breakfast Television, also known as BT, is a Canadian morning news and entertainment program produced by CITY-DT. The program airs from 5:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. ET each weekday, except holidays. Since October 3, 2011, it is also simulcast on cable-exclusive CityNews Channel, with a half-hour extension aired exclusively on the channel that runs from 9-9:30 a.m.
Four other Citytv owned-and-operated stations use the name and the format, creating content relevant to their own local audiences. A stations produced their own similar morning shows under the name A Morning, although due to budget cuts, many of them have been canceled as of 2009.
BT tends to be more relaxed and spontaneous than American morning shows. Unlike American morning shows, it does not have pre-taped segments that are focused on current events or socio-political issues. The guests tend to be more human interest, informational, and promotional in nature and there is less of a focus on celebrities.
Conexão Repórter
The proposal of the Conexão Repórter program is the quest for truth through great reporting. Its characteristic is modernity and its scenery is futuristic. Roberto Cabrini, as well as editor-in-chief, also makes the great reports, trying to take the exclusive information that no one has been able to get. The news, today, travels through increasingly fast connections. This was the name of the program, in addition to the word "reporter", which was used to highlight the format and mood of the presenter. The team consists primarily of producer-reporters who actively participate in the daring project, and the opportunity to be part of such a bold program.
Need to Know
Need to Know is an American public television news program produced by WNET, and broadcast weekly on all Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) affiliate-stations in the United States. It aired from May 2010 until June 2013.
PBS stated that the show was intended to fill the public-affairs and "hard"/investigative news void left by both the one-hour Bill Moyers Journal, and the cancelled, half-hour NOW on PBS. Both departing shows had been long-running, highly rated, and critically acclaimed for their journalistic quality, and focus on issues that deeply impacted regular Americans' lives, yet went largely ignored by commercial TV news outlets. "NTK" branded itself the "TV and Web newsmagazine [that] gives you what you need to know." PBS had described the show as “a multi-platform current affairs news magazine, uniting broadcast and web in an innovative approach to news-gathering and reporting."
Aftermath with William Shatner
William Shatner re-examines some of the biggest national news stories of the past two decades to find out how the lives of the people directly affected by these events have changed forever. Shatner gains exclusive access to the newsmakers -- heroes, villains, victims, family members and law enforcement -- at the heart of the stories, including those of Jessica Lynch, Bernard Goetz, Mary Kay Letourneau and the DC snipers, to separate the fact from the fiction, with archival footage and re-enactments helping to round out the storytelling.
Fast Money
Fast Money is an American financial stock trading talk show that began airing on the CNBC cable/satellite TV channel on 2006-06-21. Beginning October 10, 2007, it was broadcast every weeknight at 5pm ET, one hour after the close of trading on the New York Stock Exchange, until mid-2011 when it was moved to just four nights per week, Monday through Thursday, to make room for special option and currency trading shows on Friday evenings. On March 22, 2013, it returned to the Friday night slot as a half-hour show, followed by the Options Action half-hour show. The show originates from the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City.
The Grid
The Grid, hosted by podcasting and public radio host, Jesse Thorn, is an American fifteen-minute weekly rundown of what's trending in Indie Culture. Each week on IFC, The Grid recommends movies, music, games, and gadgets of interest. Joining Jesse are an array of up-and-coming comedians, offering their own opinions on what’s trending now. The Grid airs every Thursday at 7:45pm EST, 4:45 PST on IFC. Various segments from the weeks episode can be viewed online at IFC.com and on social networking websites.
America Live with Megyn Kelly
America Live with Megyn Kelly was a news program that aired on the Fox News Channel from 1-3 pm Eastern Standard Time Monday through Friday. The show began airing on February 1, 2010 and is hosted by Megyn Kelly, former co-host of America's Newsroom.
The Daily Rundown
The Daily Rundown with Chuck Todd is an hour-long weekday morning political talk show on MSNBC aired live from 9:00 to 10:00am, hosted by NBC Chief White House Correspondent and Political Director Chuck Todd. The show premiered on MSNBC on January 11, 2010, and features news, interviews, and analysis relating to politics from the MSNBC Washington D.C. Bureau. The show is billed as showcasing the depth and experience of the NBC News Washington bureau, led by Todd. The show primarily focuses on the top political stories of the day.
From launch until June 2011, Todd was joined by then White House correspondent Savannah Guthrie. Guthrie left on June 3, 2011 in preparation for her new role as a co-host of NBC's Today Show. Since her departure, Todd anchors the broadcast alone.
