1942 in Alexandria. The Allies' Middle-East Headquarters commands four Greeks to sabotage a German base on a Greek island of the Aegean in order to cut off Romel's supply chain between Europe and North Africa. Second lieutenant Apostolou and Sergeant Kamenidis make a parachute fall on the island, while Lieutenant Patsis and Sergeant Petropoulos arrive by submarine. They collaborate with members of the local resistance group in their effort to execute their mission, while a great love is born between Patsis and a young freedom fighter.
Minoru: Memory of Exile
The bombing of the American naval base at Pearl Harbor, by a nation he knew only by name, thrust nine-year-old Minoru Fukushima into a world of racism so malevolent he would be forced to leave Canada, the land of his birth. Like thousands of other Japanese Canadians, Minoru and his family were branded as an enemy of Canada, dispatched to internment camps in the interior of British Columbia, and finally deported to Japan. Directed by Michael Fukushima, Minoru's son, the film artfully combines classical animation with archival material. The memories of the father are interspersed with the voice of the son, weaving a tale of suffering and survival, of a birthright lost and recovered.
Battle of Zedilovo
The Second Balkan War. One of the greatest victories of the Serbian army in the central front during the Battle of Bregalnica against Bulgarians was taking the summit Zedilovo by the XII Infantry Regiment “Car Lazar“ from the formation of the Sumadija Division of I age class under leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Milivoje Stojanovic Brka. Cameramen of the producer Djoka Bogdanovic filmed by camera three pictures on Zedilovacka ridge during the 10th and 11th July 1913: 1) Attack of the XII Infantry Regiment “Car Lazar“ on the Bulgarian position on Zedilovacka ridge at 1200 metres away from the enemy; 2) Regiment reserve of the Infantry Regiment “Car Lazar“ approaches Zedilovo at the distance of 1500 metres away from the enemy; 3) Work in the headquarters of the Infantry Regiment “Car Lazar“ of I age class after the battle on Zedilovacka ridge.

A Day of War (Den voyny), a chronicle of total war filmed on all fronts as well as at the rear, was produced by the Central Studio of Documentary Films; shot by 160 newsreel cameramen on June 13, 1942, the 356th day of the Great Patriotic War; superbly assembled by M. Slutsky; and released on October 22, 1942. Its cameramen were informed of the actual date of shooting only two days before work commenced.
