Interim
Filmed in and around the openings and entrances to caverns and cenotes in southern Mexico, Yucatan, Interim takes as its departure in the traditional Maya belief that these are places ‘outside time and space’, as they are understood to be entrances to the underworld. Interim contemplates the quiet suspension of the present day environments and practices around these spots. In a floating and dreamy observance, the presence of human beings is paid little more attention than that of plants, rocks, insects and the wind. Through the insistent use of overexposure, and almost silhouette-like burn out images, the holes in the ground become fix-points for the cameras journey through an all too bright over-ground world.

Sight
Super 8 footage layered with Sharpie marked lines and circles obscuring the image illustrates the story of the filmmaker’s experience with temporary episodes of migraine related blindness and her cousin’s self induced blindness later in life. Paralleling the experience of Blindness with Mental Illness, Cuthand deftly elucidates that any of us could lose any of our abilities at any time.
Listening to the Space in my Room
Ostensibly a portrait of a place where the artist had resided until recently, the new film by Robert Beavers conjures not only the memory but also the physical presence of those who have previously stayed there. Adhering to a solitary intimacy while simultaneously acting as an ode to human endeavour and shared impulses toward fulfillment through art, Listening to the Space in my Room is a moving testament to existence (whose traces are found in literature, music, filmmaking, gardening) and our endless search for meaning and authenticity. The film's precise yet enigmatic sound-image construction carries a rare emotional weight.
Sheep
The film opens in October 2007 with Aurélien Bouvier, known as "Mouton" (Sheep), who is 17 years old. It was his destiny that the young Mouton would live his simple life as a seaside restaurant employee for three years and that he would be torn away from this life after a tragic night at the Sainte-Anne ball.

The Wild Years
The three protagonists play, eat and argue together. In this, at least, they are no different from other boys their age. But they are different in one crucial way, because nine-year-old Daniel and Habtom and Yohannes, both aged 12, live on the street, sleeping in an abandoned car on the side of the road. Without money or any form of adult support, they struggle to survive in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. And there are around 270,000 other street kids like them. The film records the three boys’ daily lives without being overly sentimental.

JCW Oddball Brawl
This featured one really good match in the Ring Rydas vs Haters Tag Title match (which also had a really good post-match angle), an OK main event and opener, and nothing too terrible on the rest of the card. The clowns generally do a good job of making even things that aren't good in a traditional sense at least entertaining.
