The Last Hug
The Last Hug
Short - The Last Hug - A Short Film Mini has everything a young woman could want -- an expensive car, a good education, a palatial home, designer clothes, friends, no worries about money -- she still cannot accept her mother's silence every time she mentions her father. Her mother's evasiveness becomes a crucible that forces her to break away and claim total independence -- but Mini cannot stop until she knows the answer to the question of who her father is. Having no other choice, her mother confides to Mini about her father. This sends Mini on a journey that leads to a chance encounter with a stranger -- who helps her accept those things she cannot change. Through this meeting, Mini finally comes to grips with her own -- and her mother's -- journey. - Jay Disney, Quincey Krull, Jennifer Sall

The Nightman Cometh
The Nightman Cometh
Yejiang / The Nightman Cometh features a cast of strange figures who slip between historical eras. Strewn with symbols of past and future, civilisation and wilderness, dream and reality, the work is laden with filmic, artistic and literary meanings but surrenders to none. An ancient warrior is seen wounded and forlorn after battle, in conflict about his path in life. Yang dramatises the clash between the hero's social role or 'mask', and the more authentic face of his instincts and aspirations. For Yang, the visible world presented in this work is not an objective one but rather the externalisation of internal sentiments.

Through stylized tableaux that portray locals and tourists, it observes the relationship between the West and the East while examining the dynamic that exists between the filmmaker, the camera, the subjects being filmed and the spectator.

"Focul Viu" is especially valuable because of the fact that it presents Negura Bunget in its classic line-up of Hupogrammos, Sol Faur, and Negru. As the band is probably never going to perform in this line-up again, "Focul Viu" is a must-have for every fan of Negura Bunget who didn't have a chance to witness the band live before their split. Nature: The Himalayas
Nature: The Himalayas
The highest mountain range in the world, the Himalayan range is far reaching, spanning thousands of miles, and holds within it an exceptionally diverse ecology. Coniferous and subtropical forests, wetlands, and montane grasslands are as much a part of this world as the inhospitable, frozen mountaintops that tower above. The word Himalaya is Sanskrit for abode of snow, fitting for a stretch of land that houses the world’s largest non polar ice masses. Extensive glacial networks feed Asia's major rivers including the Ganges, Indus, and Brahmaputra. More than a billion people rely on these glacier-fed water sources for drinking water and agriculture. The Himalayas are not only a remarkable expanse of natural beauty. They're also crucial for our survival.

Golden Slumbers
Golden Slumbers
Over three million Cambodians died in the genocide between 1975 and 1979. The Khmer Rouge’s reign of terror also decimated a homegrown film industry that had flourished since 1960: movie theaters were bombed, film prints were destroyed and artists were executed. In Golden Slumbers, French-Cambodian filmmaker Davy Chou mourns this loss of lives and culture, but balances the somber material with a playfulness that honors the lush melodramas and mythic adventures of the glory years.
