The collective heroes of the film are the parents and families of gays and lesbians. Relationships are revalued, suffering seems to have a source other than the child's psychosexual orientation. The title "Mine is different" has a bitter question mark. Bold formal solutions emphasize the feeling of being surrounded and isolated.
