The children we portrayed 15 years ago are now young adults. They report from their lives in the most dangerous favela in the north of the city. They are the living proof that an alternative pedagogy is capable to break the vicious circle of poverty and violence.

The Mystery of Bird Navigation
The Mystery of Bird Navigation is an essay film contemplating the enigma of flight. Through the artist's own narration, the film reflects on how the navigational abilities of birds have been understood, and misunderstood, through legends as much as through scientific experiments. Although we may have come a long way since Aristotle ́s theory of bird hibernation, or the belief in annual migration to the Moon, many researchers admit that the knowledge we have obtained is, if anything, leaving us with even greater questions. At the heart of this comical expedition, the movie opposes the way in which these questions are being asked.

It has been taught to millions of students nationwide. The look of the program has been updated, but the information and educational goal remain the same — to teach preteens about their changing bodies and the beginning stages of puberty. This program is provided as a free educational service by the Always® brand of feminine protection products. Program content is based on national research and consultation with school nurses, health educators, parents, fifth-grade students and medical professionals. It is designed to provide fifth-grade students with a broad overview of the beginning stages of puberty. This is the 2016 version, and is completely revamped. There are three separate editions - one aimed at girls, one at boys, and a third combined one for a co-ed audience.
Glide of Transparency
“I am interested in making films that explore intimate places of the interior. For me, the combination of visual and aural abstraction is sublime, a means of forging pathways without a path, journeys devoid of compass bearings, invoking mysterious and unearthly transports. I am interested in making work that has no points of reference, where scale replaces structure and time is experienced rather than counted. Glide of Transparency is a film in three movements, an exploration of color and light. Ultimately, it is a film about love and transcendence.” (bb)

My Beacon of Hope
The director, who had been struck with acute myeloid leukemia a few years ago, lucidly and painfully retraces the stages and rites of the therapy he had to undergo. A journey back into the disease and the fear, accompanied by another patient, Sabrina, a courageous fighter who helped him understand the deep meaning of life. Along with them, the family members and the nurses and doctors of Turin’s Mauriziano Hospital. A courageous mise-en-scène, with no self-commiseration.
